In 2019, Shawn McCormick purchased the old Adairville City Fire Station and began piecing together a distillery, just two years after Adairville became "wet" for the first time since before Prohibition. Today, B.H. Distillers produces Burton James Uniquely American Whiskey, James Lake Vodka with botanicals, and Kentucky Grit Whiskey. While a tasting room is in the works, visitors can currently enter the bottle shop, taste spirits, and make purchases on-site. The distillery is open Wednesday through Saturday, but at present doesn't offer formal tours.
