About Neeley Family Distillery
The history of moonshine is also an integral part of Kentucky history. The battles fought behind the scenes were life altering and you will see much of it during your visit to Neeley Family Distillery. It is also fascinating to realize this lesser-known distillery features the longest lineage of any distillery in Kentucky-going back eleven generations, to Ireland.
Neeley brings this distilling experience to both bourbon and moonshine. Neeley blazes their own trail in three ways. First, they use the triple pot distilling technique of their Irish forefathers. Second, they rely heavily on wild yeast. And third, they are one of only three distilleries in the state of Kentucky to embrace the sweet mash process.
The tour will walk you through the entire process and ends with a choice of moonshines and bourbons.
