About Lux Row Distillers
While Lux Row may be the new kid in Bardstown, they are no strangers to the bourbon industry. The family-owned company has been sourcing for their brands for over 40 years. And now, they have committed to owning their own brands and distilling their own spirits by building a state-of-the-art distillery of their own.
The beautiful country setting gives way to a modern and spacious Visitor’s Center. Your tour starts with a theater style room with a wall-sized promotional video, complete with an inspired soundtrack. From there, you walk into a room with open top fermenters and mash cookers. There are some steps to navigate to get down to the bottom of the three story tall column still.
A favorite part of this tour is walking into a fresh new rickhouse. Normally you would expect to experience a heavy dose of angel’s share, but here it combines angel’s share and fresh wood construction. The fresh wood makes it one of the brightest warehouses I have ever been in. The tour finishes in an elegant bar and tasting room.
