Located within the historic James E. Pepper Distillery complex at Lexington Distillery District, Barrel House Distilling Company offers a nostalgic glimpse into a bygone era of distilling. Visitors can marvel at two flame-fired onion pot stills, a rarity in modern distilling. The informative tour concludes with several samples, plus a coupon for an extra taste at the nearby Elkhorn Tavern. Barrel House’s flagship spirit is their RockCastle Kentucky Straight Bourbon, and they also produce vodka and two types of moonshine. This distillery combines historical insights with a diverse range of craft spirits.
