Bardstown Bourbon Company may be a new name, but it is already making a major impact in the bourbon industry. Beyond their own brands, they produce spirits for a wide variety of startups and legacy labels like Jefferson’s, High West, and Bird Dog. Their unique Collaborative Distilling Program sees them producing over forty unique mash bills.

But this is more than just a distillery. Even before it opened, it was a hot spot for locals looking for a tasty lunch and delicious whiskey or cocktail from their fully stocked bar. As the facility grows, its aim is to build out a Napa Valley type experience including an on-site hotel. 

This is one of the few distilleries where you start and end your tour with a tasting. This is a chance to try whiskey from white dog to finished product. After your guided tasting, you enter a state-of-the-art distillery featuring computerized systems that follow each of those forty mash bills throughout their creation. You will see everything from where they receive the grain, through the distillation process, and finishing with a visit to an aging warehouse.
