About Leatherwood Distillery

Before founding Leatherwood Distillery, Andrew Lang, the owner and head distiller, showed off his skills in an unconventional setting—near the Kuwaiti border in Afghanistan, where he showed his Green Berets team how to make wine using items from his MRE (Meal Ready to Eat) pack. This passion for distilling led him to open Leatherwood in Pleasant View, where he mastered the art of crafting bourbon, rye whiskey, and rums. Now located in Clarksville, the distillery continues to produce these spirits along with a variety of flavored moonshines. Leatherwood Distillery offers several tour options, from standard to in-depth and private tours, and also provides tastings in various sizes. For more information, contact the distillery directly.
