High Wire Distilling Co. stands out for its dedication to producing premium, handcrafted spirits using revived forgotten grains and a quest for historic flavors. Founders Scott Blackwell and Ann Marshall, who came from farming and organic baking backgrounds, committed early on to reviving the nearly extinct local grain known as Jimmy Red corn. This heirloom varietal now comprises 100% of High Wire's highly-praised flagship product, Jimmy Red Bourbon.
A tour of the facility reveals the distillery's focus on authenticity, quality, and local sourcing, as well as its contribution to Charleston's vibrant food and beverage community. Reservations are encouraged, and while tour prices do not include a tasting, one can be purchased separately.
