About Gorget Distilling Co. (*)

Founded in 2015, Gorget Distilling Co.'s name was inspired by the piece of armor worn around the throat by soldiers fighting for America's independence in South Carolina. The three founders honor the storied history of the region through several of their bottles of small-batch spirits. They also focus on sourcing grains from local farms and grinding them locally at Boykin Mill, a century old stone water mill. Gorget Distilling Co. captures the essence of the Midlands through their hospitality. Stop by for a visit and you will be greated by the owners and operators who will assist you with a tasting or may even provide an improptu tour.
