Tenth Ward Distilling Company, located in the heart of historic Frederick, Maryland, is a craft distillery led by owner and "Boss Lady" Monica Pearce. Tenth Ward prides itself on its non-traditional and unconventional approach to spirits, encapsulated in their slogan #wardoffordinary. Their offerings include Absinthe Nouvelle, Genever Gin, Maryland Rye Whiskey, Smoked Bourbon, seasonal liqueurs, and canned cocktails. All their whiskey is distilled in their off-site facility and aged in Frederick, with a grain base 100% sourced from local farms. Visitors can enjoy tastings, cocktails, and live music at their Cocktail Bar and Tasting Room, which also hosts regular events like cocktail classes and special tastings. While tours are currently unavailable, keep watch for a change to that status.
