Sangfroid Distilling, a small artisan distillery located in Hyattsville, Maryland, is renowned for its unique and meticulous approach to spirit production. Founded by two friends with a shared passion for traditional distilling, Sangfroid focuses on crafting high-quality, small-batch products that showcase local flavors. Their offerings include seasonal brandies made from fruit grown in their own Maryland orchard, Dutch-style gins, and rye whiskies. Drawing inspiration from European and early American traditions, they utilize natural fermentation for their brandies, using the yeast present on the fruit skins. The rye and spelt for their whiskies are also sourced from Maryland farms. Visitors can enjoy their crafted spirits at the distillery's cocktail bar in Hyattsville.
