About Clydeside Distillery
Located on the banks of the River Clyde, the Clydeside Distillery offers a journey through the history and craftsmanship of whisky production. The distillery's commitment to traditional methods is evident in every aspect, from the Dockside Story detailing the birth of the whisky industry to the use of pure water sourced from Loch Katrine, 40 miles away in the heart of a protected National Park. Clydeside is dedicated to reviving the pure Lowland style malt whisky, a mission underscored by renowned whisky expert Dr. Jim Swan's unique cask policy.
The Clydeside Tour, Chocolate & Whisky Tour, and Distillery Manager Tour offer visitors a range of experiences, each culminating in a tasting session that showcases the development of Clydeside's spirit, featuring their new make and two whiskies matured in first-fill Bourbon casks and first-fill Sherry butts. There is an on-site cafe as well, featuring Scottish-fare that can be paired with whiskies.
