About Glen Grant Distillery
Glen Grant Distillery boasts a rich history dating back to the early 19th century when brothers John and James Grant transitioned from smuggling to legal distillation. The distillery's character was further shaped by Major James Grant, the brothers' nephew, who introduced tall, slender pot stills and a water cooling purifier during distillation. The distillery's scenic estate includes Major James Grant's Victorian-era garden, featuring an array of plants gathered during his adventures. The standard tour gives you access to walk through these unique gardens. You'll also get a chance to see the bottling hall, something not normally included with any other mid-sized distillery.
