About The Shed Distillery
Be ready to be entertained. Out in the heartland of Ireland, the town of Drumshanbo has become the staging point for an adventure deep into the “creative mind” of world traveler P.J. Rigney. His dream was to find a unique location, rich with stories, where he could distill his Irish whiskey. But he also wanted to create an Irish gin using botanicals found during his many journeys across the globe.
The Shed Distillery is one of the few in Ireland that has been around long enough to have its own in-house whiskey on the market. It was the first whiskey distilled in Connacht in 101 years and P.J. saw no need to rush the release, waiting five years to make sure it was right. In the meantime, the distillery gained fame for its Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin.
As seen in "Experiencing Irish Whiskey."
