About Heaven Hill Bourbon Heritage Center
The large distillery whose name escapes most casual bourbon drinkers is Heaven Hill. But say names like Elijah Craig and Evan Williams and you grab their attention. Heaven Hill is the sixth largest producer of spirits in the United States, and the largest family-owned distillery based in Kentucky.
As of this writing, the Heaven Hill Bourbon Heritage Center has undergone a major renovation. There is plenty of history to view at the center. There are a variety of tours. The Bottled-in-Bond Tour and Tasting takes you to the warehouse and gives you an overview of the distillery’s history.
The tasting includes a nice cross-section of their product line. I recommend spending a couple more bucks to do the Whiskey Connoisseur’s guided tasting. This does not include a tour of the rickhouse. Instead, you will taste four top shelf spirits from the Heaven Hill family.
