Mars Shinshu Distillery, operated by Hombo Shuzo, is located in the Japanese Alps of Nagano Prefecture. Originally established in 1985, the distillery was revived in 2011 and is known for producing small-batch whiskies that reflect the cool, high-altitude climate of the region. Mars Shinshu uses pristine mountain water and local ingredients to craft its whiskies, offering expressions that are smooth, balanced, and complex. Tours are available, providing a guided look at their production facilities and tastings of their unique whiskies.
