Kanosuke Distillery, located in Kagoshima, was established by Komasa Jyozo Co., a shochu maker, in 2017. The distillery is known for producing single malt whiskies that blend the traditional with the modern, using multiple pot stills to create complex flavor profiles. Kanosuke’s whiskies are matured in barrels that previously held the company’s shochu, adding a unique depth to their expressions. Tours are available, where visitors can learn about their innovative distillation methods and sample their emerging single malts.
