About Akkeshi Distillery

Located in the northernmost island of Hokkaido, Akkeshi Distillery draws inspiration from Scotland’s Islay region. Established in 2016, the distillery uses local peat and pure water from the Akkeshi area to craft peated single malt whiskies that reflect the cool, misty climate. Akkeshi is known for its meticulous production process and commitment to traditional Scottish techniques. Tours are available, providing a look at their distillation process and tastings of their emerging whiskies.
