About Talisker Distillery
When traveling to the Isle of Skye, there are plenty of adventures to plan, from a trip to the Ferry Pools to a journey to the Old Man of Storr. Of course, when you think Scotland, whisky comes to mind. That means a popular attraction for visitor's is the Talisker Distillery in Carbost along the shores of Loch Harport. The brand new Visitor's Center is a bright and cheery change from its previous design. The tour has a bit more of a marketing edge to it, but does a nice job of talking through the process of making whisky. Towards the end of the tour, their is a photo opportunity with the beautiful copper pot stills. At the conclusion of the walk around the distillery, you are taken to a large tasting room where you can further explore the three expressions provided. Talisker's whiskies have a nice blend of smoke and sea. After the tour, you'll exit through the gift shop where you can use a discount coupon to purchase not only Talisker whiskies, but also other Diageo brands.
